Steps how I was trained to use the human toilet!

Here's how I was trained how to use a human toilet! I completed each step gradually before going to the next one and got lots of cat treats as encouragement!!

1. First, bring my litter box close to the toilet.
2. Raise my litter box to be about same height as the toilet.
3. Lift the toilet seat and put a bowl that can support my weight. Keep my litter box there until I get used to the height & don't worry about the height. I love climbing!
4. Now, put down the toilet seat over the bowl.
5. Remove the litter box now that I know the height I need to jump when I got to do it into the bowl!
6. Add flushable cat litter into the bowl. I know this is my "new" toilet.
7. Gradually, make a hole into the bowl and reduce the cat litter. No need to hurry since this is important step and don't forget the cat treats!
8. Next, help me with my fore paws on the toilet seat while my rear paws are still in the bowl.
9. By the time the bowl has a big hole, my rear paws will also be on the toilet as shown on the picture! I look great, right? :)
10. Finally, take the bowl away and I'll use the toilet!!
11. Praise me whenever I do each step right-give me some nice cat treats! I love 'em!

Thank you and good luck.. Meoowwww!!!

Thanks for the tip of leaving the seat up first. I tried to combine seat down with taking away the litter box, and my poor kitty was so confused she held it in until I brought back her box. I think leaving the seat up and giving her a nice stable platform will help.

My cat has a head start in his potty training , he taught himself to flush and he does so after each trip to the litter box .
So how long do you think it will be before I can toss that stinky box in the dumpster ?

HELP!! I follow all your steps and that was good except when I remove the litter of the bowl, my kitten avoids use it even when it has a few litter. How do I have to make her feel comfortable without the litter?
Thanks!

I'ld say keep the litter for a while until she's more comfortable and gradually remove it a little at a time. Good luck!

This is wonderful, and I believe it works. You mention putting a bowl in the center and resting it on the rim of the toilet. Where can a person find a bowl the correct size with a lip on it so that it can rest on the rim?

You can find any bowl that fits. Perhaps a salad bowl! :) No need to be a fancy one.

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this
matter to be really something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I'll try to get the hang of it!

Woah! I'm really digging the template/theme of this website. It's simple,
yet effective. A lot of times it's challenging to get that "perfect balance" between usability and visual appeal. I must say you have done a amazing job with this. In addition, the blog loads very fast for me on Opera. Exceptional Blog!
